On Wednesday, October 22, 2014 the American School of Valencia held its Parents Association Meeting. This event is an opportunity for ASV families to meet the Administrative Team and to be informed about the most recent information on academic, financial and community life issues.
During the opening speech Dr. Alberto Domingo, President of the ASV Board of Governors, remarked about the high demand for enrollment in the Academic Year 2014-2015 as well as the success of the extracurricular activities (now updated as ASV+ and ASV2) and the Summer Program, held in July.
ASV’s Director, Mr. Michael L. Smith, opened his academic report offering detailed data of Selectividad and IB Exams results. He also announced the creation of an international exchange program for students in grades 7th to 10th (starting in January 2015 with the Community School of Naples, Florida). Additionally, he discussed the numerous facility renovation, the school Dining Hall and the opening of Visions Café, campus improvements.
The Financial Director, Mr. Ildefonso Segura, provided information on the school’s financial status as well as other measures the school is taking to optimize its financial resources.
