About American School of Valencia

Educating Tomorrow’s Leaders Today

41 years of International Education

American School of Valencia is a multilingual school founded to provide an international educational experience in Valencia. Since 1980, ASV has been teaching students to make an insightful impact on our world. Of course, the challenges our world faces today are increasingly complex and require a new mindset of education which encourages innovation, creativity, critical thinking, global awareness, technology integration, and collaboration.

Consequently, coming to ASV is not only an academic choice but a lifestyle choice. Our world-class team of experienced educators is engaged in promoting a contemporary approach to educating tomorrow’s leaders today. In order for this approach to be effective, we rely on a cooperative partnership between our students, parents and educators working toward one vision . . . the success of our students.

6 Reasons  to Choose ASV

International School

Whether it is through one of our three academic curriculums, our multicultural student population, the diversity of our staff, the global mindsets advocated in all aspects of our operations, student exchange programs or the international mindedness standard we set for all of our students, ASV is continually exploring the cutting edge of international education in an authentic and challenging, yet caring environment. Many schools talk about their schools as being “international”, while ASV students actually live the “international” experience . . . day after day.

Global Education

Educating students in the 21st Century requires a new frame of mind complete with asking challenging questions, offering a rigorous and real-world relevant academic experience and having the ability to communicate in multiple languages. ASV students are confidently prepared and equipped to explore the frontiers beyond our doors and the successful global opportunities that await them.

Pioneer School in the Implementation of the IB

Since 2004, ASV has offered the prestigious, rigorous and universally accepted International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP). Year after year and class after class, ASV students excel from the challenges that the IB program offers, while also creating opportunities to attend universities of their choice worldwide. ASV students consistently earn IB results well above the IB world average, and these results create even more university and career opportunities for our students.

From Ages 2 to 18

Since 1980, ASV has been offering an international and rigorous educational program from Nursery to 12th Grade as the leading international school in Valencia. Coupled with ASV’s exciting activity programs such as Model United Nations, international student exchanges, the IB program, a variety of extracurricular activities, a spacious campus and a world-class team of experienced educators, every ASV student has an opportunity excel through a healthy combination of discipline, dedication, perseverance and experiencing an international school with students from 33 countries.

34.000 m2 Campus

Nestled in the foothills and fresh air of the Sierra Calderona Mountains, the ASV campus is open, spacious and inviting. There are ample outdoors spaces with three parks, an artificial turf playing field and a swimming pool. The school also offers a Sports Hall, Dining Hall, Visions café, Library, Theater and 57 classrooms. Consequently, ASV students find fun, tranquility and the security to roam throughout our campus.

Athletic Opportunities

Athletics plays an important part in the physical, emotional and social life of our students. Whether it is through our extracurricular activities program, ASV+, our sports exchanges or through our physical education classes, ASV students have an opportunity to excel both in the classroom and in their chosen sport. ASV organizes athletic competitions with other international schools in Valencia, Spain and Europe.
