The Board of Governors, the Administration and Faculty of the American School of Valencia would like to wish all of our school community a Happy Holiday.
With the end of classes today, we have completed part of the exciting 2018-2019 academic year. From September to December 2018, students have enjoyed some great learning experiences and outstanding extracurricular activities in multiple areas. However, there is much more to come in 2019 including additional school renovations, activities will be aligned with our international curriculum and focused on providing a premier international educational experience, and we will conclude the 2018-2019 academic year with a series of celebrations, including the Class of 2019 Graduation and Award Ceremony on May 31, 2019.
We would also like to remind you that 2019 will be the year in which our school will prepare and submit the Self-Study required for our Middle States Association (MSA) re-accreditation. ASV will hold a series of meetings with parents to review the accreditation process, seek your input, as well as explain its objectives for the seven year accreditation cycle. The anticipated MSA accreditation team visit will most likely take place in November 2019, and we will certainly keep you apprised of the school’s progress.
So, it will be an action-packed year for our entire school community to reflect on the progress of the past, while planning for a new vision of the future.
On behalf of all of our school community, we hope you make 2019 an even better year, and we look forward to beginning classes again on Monday, January 7, 2019.
