ASV students at Louvre

Fantastic Language Trip to Paris

From May 9 to 14, 2023 a group of students in the Grade 10 and Grade 11 French classes participated in the annual language trip to Paris (France) with Ms. Elena Martí, ASV World Languages Coordinator, and Ms. Paula Jover, History of Art teacher. The goal of this activity is to offer students a language immersion experience while they learn more about daily life and culture in France.

ASV students were hosted by local families who live in L’Isle Adam, a small town near París, in the heart of Val d’Oise, the Impressionists Valley. “It is a beautiful village, well-known for its quality of life, and a nice beach by the river Oise,” Ms. Martí describes.

Students visited L’Isle Adam and other must-see places in Paris such as Trocadéro, Montmartre, the Pompidou and the Louvre museums. They also visited Auvers sur-Oise to follow last-days in Van Gogh’s Life. The week finished with a fun visit to Parc Astèrix.
