Middle School Educators from All over the World Meet at ASV

The European League of Middle-Level Educators (ELMLE) held its annual conference in Valencia bringing together prominent speakers and passionate Middle School educators from international schools from all over the world. American School of Valencia collaborated by hosting the Pre-conference on Thursday, January 24, 2019.

80 educators worked together in areas such as co-teaching, student leadership, sexual education, and the implementation of the Reading and Writing Workshop in Grades 6 through 8.  “It was so exciting to be able to offer such a wide range of interesting topics for educators in Middle School. Adolescence is a complicated age and we were happy to see that level of engagement and cooperation during the workshops,” Ms. Isabel Castro -Assistant Principal at ASV, commented.

Ms. Castro served as a coordinator for the preconference. The ASV Preschool and Elementary School Principal, Dr. Ann C. Kox., and the ASV Grades 4-8 Counselor, Dr. María Alonso, joined the main conference as presenters.
