Last week Grades 7 and 8 had a special advisory period to meet an ASV graduate studying Drama in the United States. She is Veronika Chernitska, a member of the Class of 2018. This former student prepared a short presentation on her first months at The New School, a highly-prestiged university in New York which only takes 16 new students per year for its School of Drama.
No matter Middle School students have a long time to graduate, Veronika shared with them the experience of being admitted by a highly competitive university in a field she loves: “Everything is possible if you work hard enough. I know it is a cliché all the time but I’m the living proof”, she says, “I’m the only Ukrainian in the entire year, not just at the School of Drama, in the entire university so I wanted to show to my former schoolmates that if they are passionate and works hard they will be closer to get what they want.”
