2018-2019 Robert Sills Award

American School of Valencia is pleased to announce that the students Zlatan Č. (Grade 7) and Héctor F. (Grade 8) have been named as the finalists for the 2018-2019 MAIS Robert Sills Student Award. This award is established by the Mediterranean Association of International Schools (MAIS), a regional international education association comprised of 42 international schools, and is intended to recognize those young people who model the character traits that MAIS values most in its students: persistence, a willingness to take risks, acceptance of other cultures and points of view, and a genuine interest in a sustained commitment to the welfare of others.

The MAIS Sills Award Selection Committee received  numerous applications and portfolios from several MAIS member schools and carefully reviewed all of them for their completeness, quality of content, presentation, visual appeal, and creativity.

ASV can be honored for having two students among this year’s finalists. Many congratulations to Zlatan and Héctor, who received the award certificate on Monday, June 10, 2019 during their Middle School assembly.
