ASV+ 2017-2018

ASV+ is the official extracurricular activities program at the American School of Valencia. Students who enroll in ASV+ can participate in a variety of athletic teams, STEM (an integrated Science, Technology, Engineering and Math program), dance, music, and world languages.

ASV+ activities are instructed in English (except for Français and Deutsch) by expert coaches and teachers within the school day. Students have the opportunity to train or attend classes throughout the week, but they also have an opportunity to play in athletic matches and tournaments, and in the case of dance, music and world language activities, perform at ASV community events or other external activities.

Outstanding Facilities

ASV+ students enjoy our outstanding facilities and services to have the highest benefit on their time developing their activity. Sports groups use our outdoor school parks, the recently upgraded Athletic Field and the Athletic Center. The Athletic Field is a new facility with high-performance artificial turf setup for both soccer and field hockey. The Athletic Center has two rooms for our Dance groups with mirrors and acoustic system. STEM groups use the High School Computer Lab and one of the multimedia integrated classrooms in Elementary School.

Represent ASV

Students have the opportunity to compete representing our school in local, national and international competitions. ASV also takes part in interschool athletic events, offering a time to meet and compete with students of other international or bilingual schools from Valencia. Junior Varsity and Varsity Teams travel and play AMAC and ESC tournaments against other international schools from Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Morocco, and Algeria.

Stay Connected!

Families have continuous information on activities and upcoming events for their children and received two progress reports in December and June. For our young ones there are specific events open for the families to come and join their child in his/her activity (Learning Days) and also they can join us in the games and cheer our players. Dance and language activities participate in the Christmas Concert and also have a special show at the end of the school year.
