American School of Valencia offers students in Grades 7 through 10 the opportunity to participate in one of our exciting Global Exchange Programs. Students selected for this program will travel to the United States to attend an American school where they are hosted by a local school family.
During their stay in the United States, students will have an opportunity to participate in the daily life of the school and their host family that includes extracurricular activities, enjoying local attractions, and experiencing American and international culture, language and education. In return, their American counterpart in the exchange school will visit ASV and Valencia during a separate time during the academic year.
The goals of the ASV Global Exchange Programs are:
- Fostering international-mindedness through cultural and educational experiences
- Experiencing American and international family life, culture, language and education
- Learning to face challenges, take risks and foster individual autonomy
- Serving as an exemplary ambassador of ASV, Valencia, Spain and the student’s family
